Appalachian Theatre Marquee To Be Lit Friday And Saturday (2016-12-01 19:43:45)

The first official public lighting of the Appalachian Theatre of the High Country marquee will be Friday evening, December 2, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Kate Cahow, a volunteer with The Appalachian Theatre of the High Country, says the hope is to leave the marquee lit until 11:00 pm so people can enjoy it as they are shopping, having dinner and just strolling around downtown. The marquee will read “Happy Holidays” on one side and “Christmas Parade, Saturday, 11:00 a.m.” on the other.

The marquee will be lighted again Saturday morning about 10:00 a.m. and remain on for the Christmas parade and throughout the day. ATHC volunteers will be out in front of the theatre at 10:30 to sell t-shirts and talk with folks about progress on this historic reconstruction project.
