Elydiah “Liddy” Brielle Hampton, age nine months of Sparta, NC passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC.

She was born March 18, 2018 in Surry County to DeMarcus Taquan and Destiny Cheyenne Lopez Hampton. She was preceded in death by grandmother, Nora Diane Holloway; great-grandfathers, Lewis Holloway and Rick Hampton; uncle, Byron Johnson; great-great-uncle, Joe “Mac” McMillan. In her short time with us, Liddy touched the lives of countless thousands around the world. Liddy was an example of Christ’s love, and a testament of faith and strength to others. She is survived by her parents, DeMarcus and Cheyenne Hampton of Sparta; grandparents, Carlos and Remedios Lopez of Piney Creek, Joann and Jr. Blevins of Piney Creek, Samantha and Donald Biggins of Sparta, Antione Lee of Atlanta, GA; great-grandparents, Debra and Tommy Autry of Piney Creek, Virginia Holloway of Piney Creek; Delores Lee; great-great-grandmother, Marlene Helms of Charlotte; God parents, Heather and Jose` Resendiz of Piney Creek; special aunt, “Pen-Pen” and uncle Tim-Bob Sizemore; special friends, Kayla Lafferty and Eduardo Panuco; also many aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

The family would like to invite you to enjoy the Celebration of Life service of Liddy at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Peak Creek Church of the Brethren Fellowship Hall with Pastor Tim Sizemore and Brother Ed Hall officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Ronald McDonald House, 1613 E. Morehead Street, Charlotte, NC 28207.
