Clyde ‘Bud’ Broome, age 62, of Bent Tree Way in Burnsville, died Saturday, December 1, 2018 at his home.

Born on March 27, 1956 in Cleveland County, NC, he was the son of the late George Kendrick Broome and Florence Breakfield Sipe.

Bud was an avid musician and an accomplished drummer. He loved many types of music and had played in several bands throughout his musical career.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of forty-four years; Shirley Lovelace Broome of the home; his children; Jason Broome and wife, Jennifer of Kings Mountain; Kim Woodard and husband, Danny of Burnsville; Leslie King of Kings Mountain; and Rustin C. Broome and wife, Stephanie of Kings Mountain; his brother; Doug Sipe of Kings Mountain; his sisters; Libby Minnick of Kings Mountain; and Suzanne Harris of Kings Mountain; and there are nine grandchildren.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the memorial service honoring the life of Clyde ‘Bud’ Broome on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 7 pm at the David Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC with Dr. Rocky Branch officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the church.

The family would like to extend special “Thanks” to the nurses and staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge and Mitchell House for their wonderful care of Clyde.
