So Long, Scott, and Thanks for the Memories.... (2018-12-03 23:20:53)

The Louisville Courier-Journal is reporting that the University of Louisville will officially introduce Appalachian State coach Scott Satterfield as their new football coach at a press conference on Tuesday.

Satterfield, who was a starting quarterback for the Mountaineers for three seasons (he was 21-4 during his junior and senior years), has been at the helm since 2013. His teams have won 40 of their last 51 games, which includes a 30-19 win over Louisiana in the first-ever Sun Belt Conference championship game. The Mountianeers are scheduled to play Middle Tennessee State in the R&L Carriers Bowl in New Orleans, La., next Saturday, December 15.

Satterfield will replace Bobby Petrino, who was fired with one game left on the schedule. The Cardinals, members of the Atlantic Coast Conference, were 2-10 this season.
