Jerome Mack Caudill, age 74, of Hoschton, Georgia passed into Heaven on December 18, 2018, surrounded by his loving wife of 51 years and a host of friends, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton.

Mr. Caudill was born April 6, 1944 in Sparta, North Carolina and was a graduate of Sparta High School, Milligan College and received a Master’s Degree from Atlanta University. Mack worked in the DeKalb County School system from 1967-1997 in teaching and administrative positions and was loved and respected by all who knew him. Mack served as a group leader for the MACAG cancer support group of Georgia for 16 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling all over the United States and Canada with his wife and friends. Mack was an active member and deacon of Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church. “Mack was a Friend to All”, and “A great friend indeed”. Mack’s motto was, “Hope is a good thing.” He is survived by his wife, Sheila Caudill; sister-in-law, Carol Caudill; brother-in-law, Jeff (Arlene) Tressler; several nephews & nieces; and a special friend, Lil Pete.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J C and Wilma Caudill; sister, Annie Greene; brother-in-law, Dale Greene; brother, Buddy Caudill; and Mack’s father and mother-in-law, Paul and Jean Tressler.

Mr. Caudill will be laid to rest in Landmark Baptist Church Cemetery in Sparta, North Carolina on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with friends received at Landmark Baptist Church from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, 333 Mamaroneck, #492, White Plains, NY, 10605 or Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church, PO Box 7280, Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502.
