Eula Mae Evans Tompkins, age 87 of Ennice, NC passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.

She was born July 16, 1931 in Alleghany County to the late Coy and Zillie Higgins Evans. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Junior Leo Tompkins; four brothers, Kyle Evans, Young Evans, Ernest Evans, and Lee Evans; two sisters, Alma Addison and Marie E. Pruitt. Eula was a member of Little Pine Church of the Brethren. She was a loving, caring, compassionate person. She loved to talk and clean house. She provided lovingly care for her mother for many years. She is survived by one son, Mike Tompkins and fiancé Linda Goodwin of Ennice; one daughter, Pattie Smith and husband Dwight of Ennice; one granddaughter, Courtney Smith of Wingate; one grandson, Andrew Smith of Sparta; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Eula Mae at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2018 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Ed Hall and Reverend Eddie Wooten officiating. Interment will follow in Little Pine Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Pattie and Dwight Smith, 5741 Glade Valley Road, Ennice, NC 28623.
