Town Of Boone To Host Lighting Of Tree, Christmas Parade (2018-11-26 15:52:15)

The town of Boone will host two holiday events this December.

The annual lighting of the Jones House Christmas Tree is Friday, December 7th.

The Watauga High School Honors Choir and Women’s Chamber will perform a medley of holiday music on the Jones House porch at 5:45 p.m.

At 6:30 p.m., Mayor Rennie Brantz and Boone Town Council members will light the tree.

At 6:45 p.m., Appalachian State University’s Split Rail Records will host a singer-songwriter showcase in the Mazie Jones Gallery.

The annual Christmas Parade in downtown Boone is Saturday, December 8th at 11 a.m.

After the parade from noon to 4 p.m., the Town of Boone will continue the celebration with free cookies, refreshments and a visit from Santa Claus on the Jones House lawn.
