Watauga Humane Society Quarantine Due To Parvo Incident (2016-12-22 14:48:26)

The Watauga Humane Society is under quarantine until next week, due to an isolated parvo virus incident.

According a Watauga Humane Society Facebook post Wednesday afternoon, dog kennels will be under quarantine until Wednesday December 29th. This means no dog adoptions will be held, and no visitation from the public will allowed in dog areas. The Society hopes to reopen the dog kennels for adoptions and walks December 30th.

Anyone who is considering surrendering a dog to the Humane Society is urged to wait until after the quarantine. You can help protect your pet by getting annual vaccines from your vet or other low cost vaccine clinics.
