High Country Run For Breast Cancer This Saturday (2018-10-24 15:31:42)

The High Country Breast Cancer Foundation’s second annual High Country 5K Run and Walk for Breast Cancer is this Saturday, October 27th.

The race starts at 9 a.m. at the American Legion Building in downtown Blowing Rock.

Along with the main event, there will be food, live entertainment, a photo booth, activities for the kids and more.

Special guest speakers and cancer survivors this year include Appalachian State women’s basketball coach Angel Elderkin and Watauga Medical Center surgeon Anne-Corinne Beaver.

All proceeds from the day go to local breast cancer patients, survivors and their families.

Registration is $20 for adults, $10 for students and free for children 5 and younger.
