Bairds Creek Bridge To Reopen In November (2018-10-22 14:56:55)

The replacement of the Bairds Creek Road bridge off of 105 near Willow Valley is scheduled to be complete by November 8th.

The Watauga Democrat reports that with that completion date, work crews are on pace to finish the bridge in the 120 days they were allotted for the project.

According to the report, construction began in June when the North Carolina Department of Transportation stated the bridge was in poor condition and no longer met the demands of traffic in the area.

For now, drivers still need to take the marked detour from the 105 Bypass to White Oak Road and to Laurel Fork Road.
