Early Voting For Midterm Elections Starts Today (2018-10-17 14:57:57)

Early voting for midterm elections begins across the state Wednesday, October 17th.

Early voting sites in Watauga County are the Commissioners Board Room in the Watauga County Administration Building, the Blue Ridge Ballroom in the Appalachian State University Plemmons Student Union, Blowing Rock Town Hall, Deep Gap Fire Department, Meat Camp Fire Department and the Western Watauga Community Center.

Sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. October 17th to 19th, October 22nd to 26th and October 29th to November 2nd. On November 3rd, sites will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Early voting in Ashe County is at the Ashe County Courthouse in Jefferson. Early voting times are the same as in Watauga.

Early voting in Avery County is at the Avery County Board of Elections Office in Newland. Early voting times are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 17th to 19th, October 22nd to 26th and October 29th to November 2nd. On November 3rd, voting is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

People who are not registered to vote in their county can register at the early voting sites and can vote immediately after they register.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 6th, with precinct voting locations open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
