AMB Sold To Craft Brew Alliance (2018-10-12 15:20:36)

Appalachian Mountain Brewery has been sold to the Craft Brew Alliance out of Portland, Oregon.

The Watauga Democrat reports the sale was for 100 percent of the company.

According to the report, the acquisition is expected to close by the end of the year, and financial details will be disclosed at that time.

AMB announced in a statement it will not leave Boone and the work crew will stay the same. Craft Brew Alliance will simply provide support, flexibility and resources to continue to grow the business.

AMB opened in 2013, and entered into a partnership with Craft Brew Alliance the next year to help brew more beer and expand across North Carolina and other states as well.

AMB stated it’s excited to now take the partnership to the next level.
