William Wayne “Bill” Caudill, Sr. (2018-10-01 13:37:46)

William Wayne “Bill” Caudill, Sr., age 70 of 61 Roberts Road, Laurel Springs, NC passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

He was born January 29, 1948 in Ashe County to the late Wade Beacher and Thelma Sawyer Caudill. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his previous wife, Joan Tomlinson Caudill; one brother, Jess Caudill. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Piney Creek Masonic Lodge #432. Bill was a former active member of the Laurel Springs Fire Department and First Responders. He is survived by his wife, Kim Caudill of the home; two sons, Wayne Caudill and wife Kelia of Boone, William Caudill, Jr., and girlfriend Lorie Greene of Laurel Springs; one stepson, Taylor Cottrell, Jr. of Louisburg; two granddaughters, Kristina Caudill of Boone and Kelsie Mease and husband Vaughn of Hickory; one great-granddaughter, Raynzlie Caudill of Boone; two sisters, Nancy Brown of Crumpler, Patricia Blevins and husband Howard of Volney, VA; one brother, Jeff Caudill of Jefferson.

The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to celebrate the life of Bill at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2018 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Wagg, Elder Allen Edwards, and Alleghany Honor Guard officiating. Interment will follow in May Cemetery in Lansing, NC with full military rites. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Laurel Springs Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Karen Ashley, 1194 County Line Road, Laurel Springs, NC 28644.
