Boone Woman Charged In Edmondson Murder Case (2018-09-06 15:14:44)

A Boone woman has been charged with the murder of Carlton Lamaar Edmondson.

The Watauga Democrat reports Valerie Ann Dollar, 24 years of age, was charged on August 31st with first-degree murder and criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping.

According to the report, Dollar is the last of the six original suspects to be charged with murder in the case.

Dollar’s bond is set at $550,000, and her next court date is set for September 17th in Johnson County, Tennessee, where the crime allegedly happened.

According to a previous report from the Watauga Democrat, Edmondson was kidnapped from his home in Morganton the morning of January 19th. The group of kidnappers demanded a ransom from Edmondson’s parents, then took him to a remote location in Trade, Tennessee, where he was beaten and left.

To date, Edmondson has not been located, but is believed to be dead.
