Trailer Fire In Meat Camp Thought To Be Intentional (2018-09-04 15:17:18)

A fire in an abandoned trailer in Meat Camp on August 30th was believed to be intentional.

According to the Watauga Democrat, the fire at 190 Cannon Drive was reported by a neighbor around 6:30 p.m.

According to the report, once Meat Camp Fire arrived at the scene, the fire was controlled to one room on the end of the trailer within five minutes.

Also responding to the scene were Boone Fire, Todd Fire, Deep Gap Fire, Watauga Fire Marshal’s Office, Watauga Medics and Watauga Rescue.

The trailer, with the current owner listed as Mike Garlock, was abandoned and had no power running to it.

Items found in the trailer have lead officials to believe the fire was set intentionally.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
