Apps Lose Another Assistant.... (2018-12-18 20:33:27)

CBSSports.com is reporting that former Appalachian State University assistant football coach Stu Holt has been named the tight ends and special teams coach at Louisville, joining former Mountaineers coach Scott Satterfield.

Holt has been a member of the App State coaching staff the last four years. He was a runnings back coach with the Mountaineers. And during his tenure, the Mountaineers had at least one running back crack the 1,000 yard plateau.

Darrynton Evans ran for 1,187 yards and averaged 6.6 yards-per-carry this season. And the Mountaineers were standouts on special teams under Holt's tutelage. They returned four kick-offs or punts for touchdowns in 2018.

Holt's coaching career dates back to 1996, when he was a linebackers/special teams coach at Division III Norwich University in Vermont. He spent two years at South Florida before joining App State in 2015.
