Warrensville Man Sentenced On Meth, Firearm Charges (2018-08-16 15:15:46)

A Warrensville man was sentenced for multiple charges in Ashe County District Court on August 2nd.

The Ashe Post and Times reports that Joshua D. Maine, 30 years of age, was arrested six times between April 28th, 2017, and July 4th, 2018, and was charged with four counts of driving with a revoked license, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts of possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of marijuana paraphernalia, two counts of operating a vehicle with no insurance, possession of marijuana up to half an ounce and resisting a public officer.

Maine also appeared on a probation violation, and several other misdemeanor crimes.

According to the report, Maine was sentenced to 20 days in the Ashe County Jail for the probation violation, 10 to 21 months in the Department of Adult Corrections for possession of firearm by a felon, and two sentences of 6 to 17 months in the Department of Adult Corrections for both methamphetamine charges.
