Three Injured In West Jefferson Car Crash (2018-08-13 15:23:11)

Three people were taken to Ashe Memorial Hospital after a two-car collision in West Jefferson on August 10th.

The Ashe Post and Times reports the accident happened around 9 a.m. at the intersection of Dogget Road and U.S. 221 Business.

According to the report, a 2005 Subaru, driven by James Greer of Lansing, was making a left off of Dogget Road onto U.S. 221 Business. A 2017 Honda, driven by Leah Privette of Jefferson, ran into the side of the Subaru, causing it to roll on its side, trapping two people inside.

Rescue workers were able to get the two people trapped out of the car, and immediately to the Ashe Memorial Hospital.

One other person involved in the accident was also taken to the hospital.

There were no life-threatening injuries.
