Enrollment Open For Jones House JAMS Lessons (2018-08-15 15:15:52)

Fall enrollment is now open for Boone Junior Appalachian Musicians lessons at the Jones House.

The JAMS program starts on August 30th, lasting for 15 weeks, featuring group music lessons in fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, ukulele and harmony singing, taught by local musicians steeped in regional old-time and bluegrass styles.

Lessons are open to students ages seven through adults, from beginning through intermediate levels.

Classes are taught on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., depending on the instrument and playing level, and each class is 45 minutes.

Enrollment costs $75 for kids and $125 for adults. Instruments are available for rent.
